Students did translation art in geometry. Translations are a type of transformation also known as a slide. For those of us old enough to remember, the game “pong “uses translations for the paddles and the ball.
Students could express the translation using words or algebraically. For example, in Ryan George’s, he expressed his algebraically but could have written move 19 to the right and 22 down.
