Labor Day weekend 2 FFA Members participated at the Minnesota State Fair and they meant business.
Keira Thompson-Ohren & Bristol Wolden took their show pigs down to the FFA Livestock Encampment where they put their skills to the test. Keira got first in her class with her Cross Breeding Gilt! Bristol ended up with the Grand Champion Spot Breeding Gilt and she made it to the Showmanship Finals! On top of all this, the pair also received 3rd in Herdsmanship and participated in Livestock Judging for the first time!
Both Bristol and Keira are students from Underwood High School, however, this year Underwood students are welcome to join Battle Lake FFA through an agreement between the schools. We could not be happier with these 2 hard working girls hitting the ground running.
